DOH, I had written out a nice comment, then I accidentally turned the power to my PC off while looking for something. I'll try again...

Ok! The lighting is really making this look nice and mystical now. I really like the glowyness of it all, and the grass looks all soft in a way that I really like.

Time to start adding tree trunks to get it looking like those concepts, eh!

Is it at all possible to make Alphas cast shadows? If all those little stalks were casting shadows outwards, that would look sweet.

Don't falter now, we've only got a week to go, pretty much, so go for it! You'll be able to pull it off well.

cheers dave, thats the plan today any way man , and it not posible to make the grass shadow and having it look nice and soft at once, so i went for the soft because it make the level much more like the concept, and thanks againg for posting

yea i agree with dave, its got a nice feeling to it now.
Im not sure how ur doing the trees but i think the roof of the forest looks a little flat. It might be nice to have a few gaps in the forset roof, and see some cool sky or something.
If u dont like that idea and its meant to be more enclosed then it might be cool to give it more of a feeling of clustrofobia by adding a fog volume and put alot more dead roots and branches sticking out all over the place.

a bit like that tho without the weird lighting.

i like this one too http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pYhtd5F751g/RzcyQfDVgSI/AAAAAAAAAbo/bUbQ5ef4QnA/s320/Fangorn+Forest+1.jpg

Also if u want it to look like the concepts closer u might need some more light blue colours.
Keep it going anyway man, it looks like ur on the right track now

you can deffinately get good shadows cast through the alphas, i remember doing it during the group project, cant remember how tho, j did all the lighting so ask him if you cant figure it out.
