LIFE IN A CITY...and Halo

I' am as some of u may know from Wales (in the valleys), the thing is that I have come here from a very baron area so I am not use to all the frantic feel of city life and the internet all I have had for the last 10 years is 56k.
However I don't miss my home and I’m having a great time.
I choose this course because it is the best course for game art in Britain and I’ am very happy with my choice (this course rules) (Chris will hate that)

I am going to write a bit about games that i like, like Halo2 ,Doom3, all the Metal Slug games, and may be a little retro mania.

For me the real attraction to these first 2 games is not game play but story line granted the game play of these 2 games are great but the visual imagery is fantastic, like the building designs in Halo and the tones of strange computer systems in Doom3 (like the hydrocon) if u have played Doom you would know what I was talking about.
Any way the story for Halo1&2 is great in my opinion just to bring people up to date I will elaborate.

Halo as u all know is a halo shaped planet, the story is that halo was built by an ancient alien civ
to destroy the surrounding solar system in case the flood ever escape (the flood are deformed alien blobs that attach them self’s to people to increase there number).
at the time there is a war between the Earth and the Covenant (another alien race who hate man) the humans come across the Halo which the believe to be a weapon of awesome power but the Covenant believe that it is part of there religion the believe that if they can activate Halo that all who are worthy will be allowed to start the great journey but they don't realise that it is a weapon.
that’s basically it I’ve probably explained it craply..... give it a go there are hardly any good story lines these days...but this is one.
