aliens.......star crew



hello all, been doing a good amount of
drawings on aliens since I've been in
wales,and here a a few of them.

i will be doing a 3d model on one soon
so any input i receive would be good
and useful in doing this model.......

i have decided that because most films
and games make them out to be evil
and dangerous looking , with sharp
teeth and shit, i am going to focus
on what the alien abduction reports
say about them and what they look
like in sensible films.



i will base my design around these aspects,
so I'm trying to make one that looks
inquisitive and almost human but with
exceedingly creepy eyes.

next.... Forge the future


started a new project last night,
to do a set of swords based on
this knife my bro made on his forge,
I am going to do this knife a short sword
( that my brother is making at the moment),
and a long sword, that i have all
ready designed.








plus to make them fit in the scene,
I'm making a hammer an anvil and
a pair of tongs, here is what I have
so far....

Here is the low poly of my yingyang snake bird,
the tri count is like 3.500 something like that ,
I do realize that this tri count is to high but I
can not afford to spend any more time on this
model and need to get on with something else,
there are still faces I could delete but have
decided to work on some thing else, plus I don't
much care for the texture and will prob redo
it in the future......
oww... I decided that I should scrap the other
base for the model and go back to this one, because
the other base I couldn't get it to look round
enough in the low poly, with out wasting to
many triangles,

this is some thing i have been workingon for a while now
the idea behind this peice is that i wanted to create a
ying yang style god, and finsh off with a nice base,
working on the low poly at the moment, using xnormals
to see what it can do, will post when i have the low ploy
structure and the normals done....

after the assessment on Friday, I am taking my project in a different direction, to make sure I can finish it on time, many of you that did not know what I am doing may have questions to why I'm now posting concept art, we'll you see...... I need to make one part of the level reflect my art style, so I am going to cut the size down and make it easier to manage and so I can focus on one are alone fitting the art style and lighting styles and not get caught up in fixing problems all over the level and wasting time.

I will also try and keep my blog fresh with posts over this revamp..
